Chuck Patterson stickes a gopro video camara on his SUP paddle and films a great white shark swimming under is SUP at reefs south of dog patch. This is the same place the Hovie was hit by a shark while paddle surfing with Lance Erickson last year... Watch Chucks insane video...

See you on the beach at the 2010 Quiksilver TA-HOE NALU Paddle Festival Aug 21st and 22nd at Kings Beach Lake Tahoe. We will have Hovie SUP boards on the beach for demos, see Hovie SUP's world #3 Women s racer Gillian Gibree race in the high altitude.

We would like to congratulate Gillian Gibree for her latest 1st place finish at the July 31, 2010 - Maui Jim - Surf Monkey Oceanside, CA... Gillian paddles the 6 mile 12.6 stock class and now sits in a solid 3rd place in the WPA world rankings... Word is, Hovie is building Gillian a new super board...

Hovie SUP now has Stand Up Paddle board Rentals feathering the new lightweight LC 10'10" & 11'6" SUP board. Rental package includes paddle, leash, and PFD.
Cost: All Day Rental 55.00, Half Day 30.00, Private Lesions 75.00, Group Lesions 50.00 per person, two or more. All weekend Friday afternoon to Monday, 100.00.
We will need a photocopy of a major credit card your Driver’s License. All ages are welcome.
You are responsible for all damages to equipment and losses.
